Zodiac has always liked to run and be free, something quite impossible in the middle of the marshes. His nervous energy and impulsiveness have given him little choice: he had to leave his home for the openness of the Plains. He has always had a crush on Lundy, but never thought she'd give him a second glance.

He considers himself beneath most Faekind's notice and is often hesitant to come full out in his affections.

Zodiac dislikes leading, often regretting his role as second Faette in the herd, which often finds him leading the other Faettes in the absence of Sunbloom. He finds it bothersome and a true block on his own impulsive energy.

History
Zodiac always had a problem coping with the constant care the marsh Faes and Faettes needed to take when traveling their homelands. As soon as he heard several members of his herd planned to join the Plains herds, his decision was made: he would be one of the guides this Journey... and he wouldn't return to the marshes.

Zodiac joined Starwing's herd in the middle of the desert, becoming their guide... and friend. He always admired Lundy Blathnat from a distance, but the Journey helped him to get over his fear of rejection. Astonishing as it seemed, Lundy returned his affection and they formed a bond which will prove impossible to break. Their love gave birth to a beautiful girl, Creeping Ivy.

Since the Wintersday Journey, Zodiac has been trapped in the unwanted role of Sunbloom's second in command of the herd's many Faettes. He has often inquired about someone to take his position, as he fears the other Faette stallions' drive for authority. He realizes all too well that Chaos sees him as the Faette in charge and knows he won't be able to dodge the other Faette's will to fight him for the leadership much longer.

Even though he has no interest in leading even a small part of the herd, he really likes the trust with which Sunbloom treats him. He understands she would never give him this much authority if she didn't trust him. Zodiac hopes she will be able to trust one of the other Faettes soon, so he can go back to a carefree and energetic life as a guide, without any responsibility.

Romance and breeding
Zodiac is and has always been deeply in love with Lundy Blathnat. To find she returns those feelings still baffles him at times.
